LILY CHEN PRODUCER

Lily Chen is the producer of Silent War and the founding Executive Director of UCA WAVES. A community organizer, nursing educator, and researcher, Lily has led national grassroots efforts to advance mental health education and awareness in AANHPI communities since 2016. She currently oversees multiple projects funded by SAMHSA, the State of North Carolina, and other leading organizations, with a focus on culturally responsive mental health training, parent education, and youth peer support. As a producer, Lily brings deep lived experience, community insight, and a commitment to culturally grounded storytelling to Silent War, helping shape the film’s vision and mission.

ALLISON CONNELLY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Allison Connelly, known professionally as A.C. Brooke, is a writer, photographer, graphic designer, and documentarian based in Chester County, Pennsylvania. An avid storyteller, she is passionate about exploring the complexities of life, relationships, and the human experience. Much of her work focuses on raising awareness of trauma and its lasting impact on individuals and communities. In addition to her work on Silent War, Allison is directing her own documentary, Paper Birds, which explores the complexities surrounding recovered memories and the delayed onset of PTSD. As Assistant Director of Silent War, Allison brings her multidisciplinary creative background, storytelling experience, and deep commitment to trauma-informed work to the production.

RUIMIN HU CINEMATOGRAPHER

As a computer science professor, Ruimin Hu entered film production somewhat unexpectedly—and largely without much “choice.” Over the decades, in an effort to reduce production costs, Ruimin has worked alongside her husband, Changfu Chang, on numerous projects, taking on a wide range of roles, from chauffeur and production grip to sound recordist, lighting technician, and camera operator. A longtime avid and award-winning photographer, Ruimin gradually discovered a new passion for documentary cinematography and visual storytelling. Silent War marks the first major film in which she has had the opportunity to showcase her skills as a cinematographer, bringing her keen photographic eye and years of hands-on production experience to the project.

JORDAN GRAFF EDITOR

Jordan Graff is the editor of Silent War, bringing nearly a decade of experience and a thoughtful, story-driven approach to his craft. A former student of director Changfu Chang, Jordan views editing as the final opportunity to shape a narrative—and approaches it as a creative discipline, not simply a technical role. He sees editing as a subtractive process: distilling hours of footage into a story with emotional resonance, clarity, and purpose. Whether sketching diagrams, taking notes, or simply listening, Jordan’s process begins with understanding the heart of the story and remains grounded in advocating for the viewer’s experience. In addition to his editorial work, Jordan brings complementary expertise in sound design, photography, motion graphics, and color, allowing him to approach each project with a versatile and comprehensive visual and storytelling perspective.

BARRY ATTICKS  DIRECTOR OF MUSIC

Dr. Barry Atticks is the Director of Music and a professor of music technology. His professional background includes work in New York and Los Angeles as a music engineer, sound designer, and effects editor for major TV shows like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and Chicago Hope, as well as collaborations with Hans Zimmer’s Media Ventures. An active performer and the current president of the Association for Technology in Music Instruction, Barry continues to lead global music industry trips for students while also moonlighting as an NCAA football official.
